  • Do I arrive early or at the exact time I booked?
You must arrive 15 minutes early to go over rules and your room's story. If you book for a 6:00pm game, then the game begins at 6:00pm. You need to arrive at 5:45pm to learn about the game first. If you arrive at 6:00pm, your game will start late and you will not have extra time. Why don't we just say arrive at 6:00pm for a 6:00pm game? Because someone somewhere else started this policy and all rooms have adopted it. Now it's the industry standard. We don't want to confuse everyone more. So we're doing it too. Please arrive 15 minutes early.

If you have already made reservations and want to add to your party, the easiest way is to do so is have your extra guest come and pay the night of the event. Just arrive a bit earlier to allow time for the transaction. If you are unsure of your total number of guests, it's easiest to make reservations for the minimum player (4) then have the rest pay the night of. This way you are not out for guests that ended up not showing up.
  • Are you rooms private or will we be paired with strangers?
Our rooms are private. You will only be playing with your friends and family. To afford to make our rooms private for you, we have installed a 4 ticket minimum purchase per room. You are welcome to try our rooms with less than 4 players (though we do not recommend it), but 4 tickets will still need to be purchased.

But we made the change to private rooms based on popular demand.
  • Are your rooms scary?
We are family friendly. At most our rooms are somewhat creepy. Each of our rooms has a mission with high stakes and a creepy factor. We do that to give the room and challenge a great story and purpose. We do not focus on scaring you. We do not have any jump scares, screaming in your ears, or anything inappropriate. We want you to focus on the challenge and not on facing your fears.
  • How long is your experience?

Evans and Sontage Jail Cell Escape, you are locked into jail cells. The cells have emergency exit buttons and you can exit at anytime you like. However, the mission is to not use these buttons except for in an emergency
  • What happens if we dont finish in time?
Typically, we will allow you some time to finish the puzzle past the hour. However, you won't have the pride of saying you beat the challenge unless you're really good at lying.

Yes. But use discretion. Kids 12 and up are welcome. Ages 7-11 must be accompanied by an adult. We allow all photos outside of our rooms, but once inside the private room we ask that there be no photography to ensure we arent revealing any of the answers. Outside of our operating hours we are busy with our summer camps, directing theme park shows, designing our next puzzles, and raising a family. During those times we may not be able to answer the phone, but we check our messages regularly. Please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as possible. For best communication we strongly recommend emailing us at puzzlemazement@gmail.com
